Here's an email we received from another satisfied customer:
" Hello Peter and Bai. We presented our in-service on Hmong youth to
our graduate
class on Thursday evening. The goal of the presentation was to train
our
classmates in culturally competent strategies in working with Hmong
youth and
their families.
We used the storycloth and your explanation in
several ways, 1. As a welcoming gesture to our class as the
"registered", 2. As a representation of the way of
life for Hmong n Laos prior to the wars and migrations, and 3. a
cover to the packets they received for use during our presentation and
in their
own practices
Our group included four members and two "guest
speakers". Three of the members and one guest speaker are in the
bottom left hand corner of the picture. The first woman is Anna, next
to
her is Angela, then Shia and the woman in front of the story cloth in
light
colored pants is Michelle. I am standing to the right of the storycloth
in
the blue shirt and to my right is Kang. Shia and Kang are both from the
Green Bay, WI. Hmong community and agreed to review our presentation
before we presented and then help us with an exercise and offer
personal
perspectives.
The class thought the storycloth was both
beautiful and
instructive. I've been asked to share it for other
presentations already. It will continue to serve it's purpose.
Thank you again, your efforts and information
have been much appreciated.
